This policy explains what information Membership Unlimited collects about you, why, and what you can do about it.
Membership Unlimited is a trading name of Serious Businesswomen Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08054350, VAT number GB168 555 764). Our registered office is Jolby Mill, Stapleton DL2 2QS.
We are the data controller for the information in this policy. Our Data Protection Officer is Helen Hill, who you can reach at support@membershipunlimited.com.
Questions about this policy or your information: email support@membershipunlimited.com.
If you're a member of a membership that runs on Membership Unlimited, that membership's owner decides how your information is used, and their own privacy policy applies. We look after it for them. You can ask them, or us, to see or delete it.
When you join our waiting list or ask for something free we collect your first name, your email address and what your business is. We use these to tell you when Membership Unlimited opens, to send you membership tips and news, and to understand what kinds of businesses are interested. We do this because you've asked us to (consent). You can unsubscribe any time using the link in every email.
When you sign up and pay we collect your name, email address, business details, and the details of your plan and payments, so we can set up and run your account, take payment and keep our accounts. We do this to carry out our agreement with you, and because the law says we must keep payment records. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you use your account we keep what you make and the settings you choose, and records of what's sent (for example which emails went out and whether they were opened), so the service works and you can see your results. We also keep a short record of sign-ins and errors to keep accounts secure and fix problems. We do this to carry out our agreement with you, and because it's in our legitimate interests to run a secure, working service.
When you contact us for help we keep your messages and our replies so we can help you and see what needs improving.
When you visit our website or a website we run for an owner we count visits without cookies and without keeping anything personal: each visitor is counted once a day from a scrambled code that changes every day, so it can't be used to recognise you.
If you use a feature that writes a draft or makes captions or transcripts, what you send is passed to an AI service to give you the result. Under its business terms it isn't used to train its AI. We don't use AI to make decisions about you.
We don't sell your information. We share it only with companies that help us run our service, and they may only use it on our instructions:
Some of these companies store information outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.
On our own website and dashboard we use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies there, so there's no cookie banner.
An owner can add their own advertising tracking to their website (for example a Facebook pixel). It only switches on if the visitor says yes in a cookie box on that website, and the owner's own privacy policy covers it.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email support@membershipunlimited.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and if a change matters we'll email our customers first.
